Most innovation comes from taking a positive outlook on the future even if that view is cloaked in negativity. Just this week alone I have come across (in my opinion), deeply flawed interpretations about the African economy and its constituent national markets. What struck me most was the disconnect between how Africa is spoken about externally and how some respected Africans, our industrialists, economists and entrepreneurs speak about themselves.
Where are our storytellers and narrators? Who is giving a voice to the great things happening all around us no matter how small? Apathy will not drive growth and silence will not communicate the vision of the prosperous future we are all working toward.
